When you are in your house, what do you see the most? Of course the the inner sanctum of your house itself! But what do you really see when you are inside the house? Color? Wood? Table? The truth is everything you see is all based on design. If you are sensitive enough to understand it, everything we touch, see, smell involves design. Not a single thing we do here doesn't involve design. Even when we think critically, we "design" it in our head before putting it on paper. Why design? It's an occurring daily routine we see everyday, but why design? A lot of people spend much on design in order to attract attention. It's a big part of marketing and advertising. Even in school designing a project can add to your grades. Design is a complex matter, it involves creating from scratch, no set rules to follow but the coordination of colors, sizes, demographics affects the whole wide world. Design can influence artists, actors, burger chains, father, mother, any individuals. What matters most with the design, is the design can make a difference between me and that particular design. I have to ask, does creating new designs get me an advantage over competitors as I design for my job? To design something is like a soon to be mother laboring for her first child, a too and fro walk can buy some time until such a time to perfectly deliver it with smile and happiness once the child is out of her womb, made a first cry, first regular breathing on its own, eyes twitching, that this baby had after nine months in her mother's womb. That's how great designers feel about the care they take with their work. Design is not something that you view like chewing a piece of gum, to be discarded once the sweetness has gone. Design is an art form on its own. We all live by design... How on earth do we think this world would look like without design? Is there a Grand Designer to all these things around us?

Thanks for this blog, I got a wonderful insight about design that it is not only on what we see, but it also connected with what we feel, smell and even if thinking critically. I really like the way you defined design and how you connect it to other things like to our own house. I agree that design is a big part of marketing and advertising because in order to attract an audience you need to come up with a spectacular advertisement that will surely amaze people. Now that I'm taking up a marketing and advertising course I really need to excel, to be good in designing, do you have some tips? I also agree that design can make a difference like when you want a new look for your room it will create a new ambiance if you have a wonderful design.
